How do I get assigned roommates/how does the roommate matching system work?

We have a roommate matching portal where you will be able to connect with possible roommates so you can find the group you will get along best with!

Can we choose our bedroom?

We are offering an optional, one-time fee of $100 which allows you to secure the bedroom of your choice. Otherwise, rooms are first come, first serve and you and your roommates can discuss where each roommate will be staying.

If I am waiting for my study permit, can I still reserve a bedroom ?

Yes, absolutely! We wouldn’t recommend waiting to reserve a room as our availability is limited and first come, first serve! If for some reason you do not get your study permit, we will require proof of your circumstances and your lease will be cancelled and deposit refunded.

Do you offer lease terms other than 12 months?

We offer multiple lease terms including 4, 8 and 12 months.

How do I pay my rent?

Our preferred payment method is through pre-authorized accounts however we also accept e-transfers and payments by debit/credit cards.

Can I be placed in a unit with my friend?

For sure! When you get onto our roommate matching portal, be sure to select each other as roommates so you can be in the same unit! You can also request by email at info@palaymtl.ca when signing to be with your friend and we will ensure you are placed together!

Is there a storage space to put my luggage and boxes?

Yes! Included with your monthly cost, you will have access to use our secure storage locker room on a first come, first serve basis! Using our storage lockers will give you more space in your room and unit so you can keep items like suitcases safe and out of the way!

Do I need to bring anything other than my personal belongings?
